Durell Vineyard
Durell Vineyard, founded in 1979 by Ed Durell, is known for producing some of Sonoma County's finest grapes. Durell partnered with vineyard manager Steve Hill to develop a world class vineyard. From the planting of the first vines, Steve Hill continues to oversee vineyard operations for Eleanor Phipps Price, current owner of Durell Vineyards at Sand Hill Ranch.
Location
Located in the hills overlooking the town of Sonoma, Durell Vineyard at Sand Hill Ranch extends from the Southern end of the Sonoma Valley into the western portion of the cool Carneros
region. This location provides afternoon breezes that slow ripening, producing richer-flavored grapes.
Grapes
Our grapes are predominantly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and have yielded the top tier wines produced by
a select group of well established wineries in Sonoma.
